Go for low competiton niches
There are a lot of factors here to put into consideration, for instance, the type of niche that you want to go into. Is there competition? Competition is good because it is an indication that there are buyers in that niche. But you also need to take into account the level of competition. If there is too much competition in that niche, you cannot make any money. So the best advice is to go for low competition niches.

Most people get the wrong advice from the so called gurus who say that you must promote products that interest you or products that you are passionate about. I personally do not advise anyone to promote a product just because they are passionate about it. At the end of the day the main reason why you got into business is to make money, so it is important to promote products that have ready buyers so that you can make some money.
There is a big problem of information overload coming through from left right and centre about products claiming that you can start making a lot of money without any hard work. This is a BIG lie. We have all been lied to and wasted a lot of time and money in the process.
You need a mentor
I spent many years following the so called internet marketing gurus who claimed to be making thousands of dollars a day and they convinced me that I would do the same. I only made 2 sales during the course of the three years when I attempted affiliate marketing on my own until I sought the services of a mentor and had to start all over. Most of those scammers had gone off the grid after duping a lot of people. Through those lies they made a lot of money while many people wasted their money believing in them.
You can start by doing a research on products that people buy. From my experience, as long as you promote products that solve a problem, and add value, you are good to go.
There are still some respectable internet marketers out there who are teaching people the right way to make money online and providing value to those who are willing to learn and do the work. For such courses, You can save time and money avoiding making rookie mistakes that I did by using a tried and tested ‘done-for-you’ solution, but be prepared to pay for such courses. If you want something of value, you pay.
